- The Coverage Gap
How Much Does tintinginsurance.com Cost?
Starting Premium
~$45/month
tintinginsurance.com is priced around how your business actually works, not a flat number. A mobile flat glass installer serving commercial buildings, homes, and contractor projects has different exposure than an auto tint shop handling customer vehicles daily.
Your coverage needs may depend on state requirements, revenue, payroll, equipment value, jobsite type, vehicle exposure, selected limits, and whether you offer automotive, residential, commercial, or mixed window film services.
- Location & state requirements
- Gross annual revenue & payroll
- Mobile operations vs fixed shop
- Value of customer vehicles handled
- Coverage limits selected
- Built for Installers
Coverage Built Around Real Industry Risks
Window film professionals work around vehicles, glass, tools, customer property, jobsite access, and installation details that standard policies often miss.
Customer Vehicle Damage
Protect against damage claims involving customer vehicles during tint installs, shop appointments, vehicle movement, storage, or related auto film work.
Installation Mistakes
Coverage support for mistakes involving film application, glass handling, trim damage, bubbling disputes, completed work, or customer dissatisfaction after installation.
Equipment & Inventory Loss
Help protect film rolls, plotters, ladders, heat guns, tint tools, computers, and supplies from theft, damage, or covered loss.
Property Damage
Coverage for accidental damage to customer property, buildings, glass, interiors, fixtures, or jobsite areas during residential or commercial tint projects.
Mobile Service Exposure
Protection for tint professionals traveling to homes, dealerships, offices, storefronts, fleet locations, and contractor jobs with tools and materials.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Window film businesses often need answers that standard insurance pages do not cover. Whether you tint cars, homes, storefronts, offices, or combine auto and flat glass services, these FAQs explain how coverage, payments, COIs, and quotes work.
Still Unsure?
Talk with a film insurance specialist and get coverage guidance built around your exact tinting operation.
Most shops can get an estimate or even purchase coverage online instantly, but our underwriters pride themselves on getting a crafted quote back to you within 24 business hours.
You can download a certificate of insurance (COI) as soon as you purchase your policy. In many cases we even allow our policyholders to create their own COI’s on-demand, and we can always help by emailing us at [email protected]
We offer our policies with convenient payment options, and you can pay the entire policy in full, or opt for monthly payment options. We accept both ACH or Credit Cards.
Our policy is ready to handle all your tinting related services including but not limited to Auto Tinting, Residential & Commercial Tinting, Commercial Vinyl Wraps, Paint Protection Film, Auto Wraps, Detailing, Ceramic Coating, and Small Marine Tinting & Wraps.
While every policy has certain limitations, we have crafted our specific program to be both priced competitively, but also including as much as important coverages for window tint shops as we can. With that said, here are some things we do explicitly exclude:
– Auto Liability for Customer Vehicle Pick-Up & Drop-Off – While we will cover you moving a customers vehicle at the worksite or your shop, and Garagekeepers will cover the customers car, we do not provide 3rd Party Auto Liability while doing longer trips with customer vehicles.
– Aircraft Tint/PPF/Detailing Operations, if you work on aircraft, we can recommend a aircraft specialty agency for you.
– Large Marine Tint/PPF/Detailing Operations, if you are focused on marine services we can recommend a marine specialty agency for you.
– Vehicle Storage Services – This is an entirely different service, and we can recommend a Garage / Vehicle Storage carrier for you.
Because we have underwriters specialized in the window tint industry, we curate our policies to be very competitive. However every shop is different and many things go into the price of insurance. Make sure to select Coverage Packages for savings, and also tell us if you use Industry-Specific CRM’s, are a Dealer of certain window film brands, are a member of the IWFA, and other questions inside our online portal to maximize your discounts!
